Comment on Freedom Speaker, it matters
It’s a privilege in having the freedom to post comments, express oneself, and an invitation not to be taken for granted. In the “big house” (Federal Prison) we didn’t have the freedom to do so. Imagine being without the internet or social sites. No google, no Facebook, No Wikipedia, no MapQuest. (could encourage escaping) Lol
We did have Inmate.com. (Giggle) Women gossip and spread rumors, easily. Actually, not only women, but humans. We used to joke and say, “If you want the entire compound to know something, tell one person.” Compliments of Inmate.com
In the beginning, (God created the heavens and the earth, kidding, not really, just got carried away) I didn’t feel as if what I had to say mattered, especially since I am a felon, but it matters to someone. If that someone is you, yay, if that someone is 1 out of my 3 kids, I’m doing something.
You never know who is reading- (I’m scared) The blogoshere world is made up of all blogs and their interconnections. Blogs exist together in a connected community. Blogs are read, your perspective, matters! (what, did you say something?)
Transformation can be transmitted- I strongly believe when you comment authentically, you not only connect with others, but you get something back yourself.
Comment on the subject of the post, not something else- Comments should be short, fast, to the point and make an impact, make meaning! Expose the blogoshere out of the echo chamber.
“Take a stand, it’s your platform to be heard, it matters to me. I am one”.
There is no failure in commenting, only failure to comment
“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.”
